PhotoPins for iPhone

PhotoPins is similar to many of the other photo mapping applications in the App Store today, with one exception...PhotoPins is free!

Use PhotoPins to scroll through your camera roll, tap a photo, and watch a pin appear on the map at the location the photo was taken. The pin will also indicate the date and time the picture was captured. You can then tap on the thumbnail of the photo on the map, and a details pane will slide in to display the address and city info (if available) as well as the GPS coordinates for the photograph.

Like Wolf Moon, PhotoPins was purely an experiment in Objective-C programming, it wasn't planned for release. Being a C# developer by trade, I decided that fun, and simple, projects would be the best way to begin programming for the iPhone, PhotoPins was one of those projects.

PhotoPins has actually been complete for about 8 months, but I just recently decided to go ahead and release it for free. The only caveat being that I've integrated AdMob advertisements. There may come a time when I decide to upgrade PhotoPins, remove the ads, add more features, and make it a pay app, but for now...here it is! Enjoy!

Please note that PhotoPins makes use of the excellent iphone-exif library created by Steve Woodcock.
